This is the seventh post (currently of seven) in KoonKoon’s & ChipChip’s zombie apocalypse adventures. The tale of their struggle to save the children of the world, (both human and stuffed animal alike) from the voracious zombies .
The first six posts are quite long. So now we will be releasing each chapter split into weekly segments of ~250 words. The segments will be posted every Wednesday. We hope this will make reading them more practical.
Please leave some feedback, if you have any thoughts. It would make our day, thank you!

They had her this time. She ran as fast as her little legs would carry her. Her tiny heart beating furiously in her chest. The zombies were right on her tail and she knew she wouldn’t be able to get away this time. She despaired, thinking of all the friends she was leaving behind. She looked over her shoulder and the marred, disfigured face turned into one she recognized for an instant. Then she tripped and they were upon her.
“Ducky… Ducky wake up”

Ducky awoke with a heart pounding jolt. The room was spinning and as it came back into focus; she saw that KoonKoon was sitting beside her. A dream, she thought. Was it really just a dream? It had seemed so real. Wasn’t that sort of thing just something writers did when they couldn’t figure out how to start a story? She laughed weakly to herself, still shaken.
“Are you okay Ducky”? KoonKoon asked concernedly. She didn’t look fine, he thought.
“I am fine, thank you KoonKoon. Just a bad dream, she said with more confidence than she felt.
“I can’t blame you, I feel like I barely slept. I wish I could go with you. I don’t want you to have to go alone“, KoonKoon said crestfallen.
“She won’t have to”, said a voice from behind them. They turned around to see Momo in the doorframe. “I am going with her”, Momo said nonchalantly. “It’s dangerous to go alone, take me”, Momo said, knowing they would all get the reference.
“Did you clear it with your father and our new friend”? KoonKoon asked.
“They did”, came Ron’s voice as he entered the room. A much drier ChipChip was next to him, nodding his assent.
“Well okay then, we’re set”, Ducky replied.
“Paws in on one… two… -“, Momo started and stopped at the look from Ducky. “Oh and wings in”, he said, returning Ducky’s smile. “Three, let’s do this”! Momo said determinedly.
