This is the ninth post in KoonKoon’s & ChipChip’s zombie apocalypse adventures. The tale of their struggle to save the children of the world, (both human and stuffed animal alike) from the voracious zombies .
The first six posts are quite long. So now we will be releasing each chapter split into weekly segments of ~250 words. The segments will be posted every Wednesday. We hope this will make reading them more practical.
Please leave some feedback, if you have any thoughts. It would make our day, thank you!

“We are about two minutes out now. Wait for me to go in first, then I’ll-“, ChipChip cut off as a barely discernible groan sounded from somewhere ahead of them. A few hundred yards out were two zombies headed in their direction.
Ducky and Momo knew that the zombies couldn’t have heard the car as it was too quiet at that distance and their stuffed animal scent was too faint. They tensed as ChipChip began to make a chirping sound. They both looked at each other and nodded in accord. They cupped their paws and followed suit, knowing they needed to throw the sound to lead them away from their destination.

“Oi, are you two trying to get us eaten?” ChipChip whispered harshly after seeing the two hopping and stomping around, honking like geese.
“Sorry, we use bells at Stuffed Haven. We thought…”, Momo trailed as he heard a similar call up ahead and somewhere to the right. The zombies started to move towards the other noise. After a few minutes, it seemed safe to proceed.
ChipChip motioned to the car and they resumed their drive. He veered off the road to the right, into a copse of trees. He held a paw up in a silencing gesture when Momo started to ask a question. “Wait here”, he said. He got out of the car and made another birdcall, lower in pitch this time. A few seconds later, a rope ladder dropped. He motioned for them to follow him and then he began to climb.
