This is the tenth post in KoonKoon’s & ChipChip’s zombie apocalypse adventures. The tale of their struggle to save the children of the world, (both human and stuffed animal alike) from the voracious zombies .
The first six posts are quite long. So now we will be releasing each chapter split into weekly segments of ~250 words (starting with post # 7). The segments will be posted every Wednesday. We hope this will make reading them more practical.
Please leave some feedback, if you have any thoughts. It would make our day, thank you!

Ducky and Momo got out of the car and followed him up, looking curiously at the rope which seemed to be knitted from some sort of string. The string seemed fairly clean and she’d swear it was new. Ducky wondered, how could they knit with no humans around? She abandoned the thought as she neared the surface above. It was a tree house. Maybe they weren’t that different at all, she pondered.

“Ok, now-“, ChipChip cut off his statement in a fit of boisterous laughter. Momo and Ducky stood there agape. Their new friend had always seemed so stoic before. This seemed to be a new side of him. “You…looked…so silly…stomping and honking”, he managed to choke out amidst his laughter. He stopped abruptly as he saw the looks on their faces. “Don’t tell them I laughed”, he said with a stern look back on his furry face. Just like that, the air of seriousness was restored to all of them. Then they followed him inside.
The tree house was fairly worn on the inside and the wood showed it had probably been there for a decade. It was lightly furnished with a table and chairs. The bouquet on the table and the somewhat recent coat of paint on the outside, made it seem that someone had tried to make it home.
Sitting at the table were the leaders they had heard so much about. They all looked very intimidating, are they friendly, do they bite, should I have worn a better outfit, Ducky thought to herself. Ducky let out a nervous breath, as the first got up to greet them.
